The RF Haversine Lite brings our experience gained in radio propagation to the mobile market. It is an application available for iPhone and iPad that allows users to quickly calculate a radio link budget. With RF Haversine Lite, you can:

Calculate a simple radio link budget between two locations
Check the two locations on a map
Calculate Fresnel Radius
Calculate Earth Bulge
Estimate attenuation loss for O2 and Vapour (Vapour Density 7.5g/m3)
Determine Fade Margin for different radio availability based on the K region (Rainfall region - ITU-R PN.837-1)

Additional features include the option to:

Email the radio link report and KML file
Open KML files in other compatible applications

The full version, RF Haversine, is the first application for iPhone and iPad that offers these advanced features:

Check the Terrain Profile between two locations (elevation provided by a public server)
Calculate radio budget based on terrain profile and radio parameters
Calculate Diffraction Loss (calculating only for the first major obstruction from profile)
Import new links from CSV files
Modify default values for radio parameters
Select current location, choose from history, or pick a point on the map for new links

Note that an internet connection is required for accessing terrain profiles. The Lite Version does not offer in-app purchases, meaning users are unable to upgrade to the Full Version.

The RF Haversine analysis ranges from 35MHz to 38GHz. This tool is designed to be user-friendly, requiring no training, with immediate usability.

It's essential to understand that the information and results provided by this software should not replace professional radio planning tools. They are intended for general informational purposes only.
